The Churchill Apartments sits at 10015 103 Ave NW in the heart of downtown Edmonton - one of the most visible residential towers in the city’s core. When the property team needed every unit outfitted with custom window blinds before lease-up, they came to Bold Blinds. Over 14 weeks we measured, manufactured, and installed roller shades and zebra blinds across 300+ residential units, on a schedule that moved in lockstep with tenant move-ins. Built locally, finished cleanly, and ready for the building’s next tower.
The Brief
A downtown tower needed window coverings that felt as considered as the architecture.
The Churchill Apartments at 10015 103 Ave NW sits at the heart of downtown Edmonton's residential renaissance. The property team needed a window covering program that could hit three targets at once: a clean, consistent aesthetic from the street, durable hardware that would survive years of tenant turnover, and a schedule that locked in with their phased occupancy plan. Off-the-shelf wasn't an option. Every window had to be measured, manufactured, and installed without slowing the building's lease-up.

Our Approach
Measured floor-by-floor, manufactured locally, installed in waves.
We started with a building-wide measurement audit - every window opening across all 300+ units logged into a single spec sheet. Our Edmonton facility ran a dedicated production line for the project, building roller shades for the bedrooms and zebra blinds for the living spaces in matching neutrals. Installation was sequenced floor by floor to match the occupancy calendar, with our in-house crew completing roughly 25-30 units per week. No drywall dust, no marketing renderings that didn't match what tenants actually saw on move-in day.

The Outcome
A consistent finish across every floor - delivered ahead of the lease-up curve.
Every unit looked identical from the street and felt finished on day one. The property team was able to start tenant move-ins on schedule, with zero delay caused by window coverings. The neutral roller and zebra combination has held up cleanly through the first year of tenant turnover, and the building has since asked us to spec a second tower in their portfolio.
